The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Léo Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Bebeto Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Léo Senna came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bebeto Pires could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Natanael Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riachinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Natanael Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerônimo Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jairo Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cococa SC's zone, Natanael Mesquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerônimo Koehler came out of the goal and Natanael Mesquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Teodoro Luz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Riachinho's Bebeto Pires. Bebeto Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jairo Cardoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerônimo Koehler having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Juninho Damião dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bebeto Pires, 2-0. Bebeto Pires made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Léo Senna sent off a good shot on target. Bebeto Pires was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Teodoro Luz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Teodoro Luz really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Joaquim Almeida lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Joaquim Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. 49 minutes into the match, Sidnei Brodel sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Bebeto Pires threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Sidnei Brodel this time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Luz to make the kick off. Bebeto Pires came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Cococa SC's Léo Senna. But to his dismay, Léo Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Martin Efren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerônimo Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Efren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Martin Efren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerônimo Koehler was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Riachinho's Dorival Dionísio got a free kick in the 69th minute. Bebeto Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bebeto Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léo Senna in the 73rd minute of the match. Léo Senna scored 5-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bebeto Pires, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
