Teodoro Luz might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Mandrak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Luz ran back to his position shaking his head. Nilmar Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Koehler having to interfere. Teodoro Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes MckarttneyFC got a freekick which was hit by Percival Mangueira. Nicolas Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodoro Luz's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Jerônimo Koehler made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Nilmar Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. When Nilmar Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the MckarttneyFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilmar Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léo Senna in the 40th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilmar Mendonça to make the kick off. Léo Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Nicolas Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. MckarttneyFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
