In the 4th minute Benê Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ediberto Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lúcio Fontes's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Ediberto Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Carvalho's José Augusto Gomes. But to his dismay, José Augusto Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ediberto Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Augusto Gomes in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Carvalho's José Augusto Gomes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ediberto Bittencourt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ediberto Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Augusto Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Benê Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Sans Souci F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Fonseca couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Quintal during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carvalho's Richard Quintal got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu de Mendonça in the 36th minute of play forced Sans Souci F.C's goalkeeper Ediberto Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Lucas Rosado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogério Siqueira. Lucas Rosado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeu de Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Tadeu de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ediberto Bittencourt was a little too slow when Tadeu de Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-4. After a rather tough play, Sans Souci F.C's Adilson Rezende got a free kick in the 58th minute. José Augusto Gomes came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ediberto Bittencourt could save by the left post. With a little luck, Sans Souci F.C's Ediberto Bittencourt got control of the ball when Lúcio Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lúcio Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ediberto Bittencourt made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Rosado in the 76th minute of play forced Carvalho's goalkeeper Rogério Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Quintal got free with Ediberto Bittencourt in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogério Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benê Fonseca in the 80th minute of the match. Carvalho's Rogério Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Fonseca in the 83rd minute of play. Rogério Siqueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benê Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After some careless play in the Carvalho defense, Benê Vargas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Siqueira. The Carvalho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Siqueira should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Benê Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Sans Souci F.C booed when Carvalho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 98 played minutes Carvalho got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Garcia. Sans Souci F.C's Benê Fonseca couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carvalho. The Carvalho players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
