If Lúcio Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Ángel Russo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu de Mendonça in the 29th minute of play. Valdomiro Maranhense might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogério Siqueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdomiro Maranhense ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabinho da Mata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogério Siqueira. Carvalho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Valdomiro Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tadeu de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Valdomiro Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carvalho's Rogério Siqueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Eagles AC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dário Bueno hit a great ball. Ramiro Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Toninho Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Valdomiro Maranhense lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Rogério Siqueira. Miguel Ángel Russo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Edmílson Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When Valdomiro Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Eagles AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdomiro Maranhense couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Valdomiro Maranhense sped through Carvalho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rogério Siqueira. Eagles AC's Valdomiro Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Ángel Russo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Eagles AC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
