The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes, Wêslley's Elder Ramalho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adalberto Queiroz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wêslley reached it. Antônio Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Umberto Donato in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Hoffmann saved Wêslley from getting behind. After 18 played minutes Força da Colina got a freekick which was hit by Caio Teixeira. After a defensive mix-up in Força da Colina's zone, Kléberson Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Queiroz came out of the goal and Kléberson Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Wêslley's Kléberson Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Nelsinho Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Vladimir Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Adalberto Queiroz made a huge save. When Umberto Donato came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Força da Colina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Donato couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléberson Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nelsinho Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Antônio Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Força da Colina's Adalberto Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Loyola in the 53rd minute of play. Adalberto Queiroz came out of the goal and Vladimir Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Kléberson Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wêslley's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléberson Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adalberto Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adalberto Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Adalberto Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Loyola in the 94th minute of the match. Wêslley's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
