Spectators: 6648 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1648, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Duarte Mattos kicked off to start the match. Taquaral's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Teodoro de Godoi 11 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 25th minute, Betinho Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Taquaral's Paulo Aguiar got a free kick in the 27th minute. Lúcio Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro de Godoi in the 35th minute of play forced Taquaral's goalkeeper Doni Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Taquaral's Duarte Mattos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodriguinho da Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teodoro de Godoi succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro de Godoi was the one to do the kick off. When Hamílton Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacoalinho's protests and gave Hamílton Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. Duarte Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cacoalinho! Rodriguinho da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cléber Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Cacoalinho's Hamílton Rodrigues got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Hamílton Rodrigues off the ground. After 71 played minutes Cacoalinho got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Rodrigues. Teodoro de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Taquaral's Norberto Berger got a free kick in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Duarte Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taquaral's supporters rose to their feet, but Duarte Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguinho da Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
