Valdemar Barros started the match with the kick off. Zézinho Leão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Donato when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paulo Donato didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zézinho Leão went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Squadra Borges Azzura's Wanderson Esteves shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Paulo Donato but with some difficulty. Reinaldo Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Donato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinaldo Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. Zézinho Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Donato read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho Leão got free with Paulo Donato in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute of the match Valério da Mata sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiago de Godoi skillfully saved the ball. Zézinho Leão didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 21st minute. Squadra Borges Azzura's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Fabinho Nascimento hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Zézinho Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Donato having to interfere. If Zézinho Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Paulo Donato made a huge save. Zézinho Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Peres in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Donato saved RATOS FC from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of RATOS FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Squadra Borges Azzura:s goal. Paulo Donato went to the wrong direction when João Carlos Correia was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Váldson da Rocha during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to RATOS FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Váldson da Rocha hit a great ball. Squadra Borges Azzura were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after RATOS FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. João Carlos Correia took the corner. A nice corner shot did that João Carlos Correia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo Donato quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paulo Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zézinho Leão in the 45th minute. When Reinaldo Peres came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Squadra Borges Azzura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Peres couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reinaldo Peres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, RATOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Leão came free, but Paulo Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Leão in the 60th minute of the match. Serafim Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Reinaldo Peres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RATOS FC's Paulo Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Peres in the 66th minute of play forced RATOS FC's goalkeeper Paulo Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Squadra Borges Azzura booed when RATOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Leão in the 72nd minute of play forced RATOS FC's goalkeeper Paulo Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Valdemar Barros fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RATOS FC's protests and gave Valdemar Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Laerte Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Paulo Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Peres in the 89th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Laerte Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Squadra Borges Azzura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RATOS FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Squadra Borges Azzura's Laerte Mendes got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Reinaldo Peres struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Paulo Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Squadra Borges Azzura. When the referee ended the match the Squadra Borges Azzura players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
