Claudinho Pombal started the match with the kick off. Germano Gaúcho hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Lúcio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho da Rocha having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Kléberson Recife recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Doni Paes. Kléberson Recife showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Lúcio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Claudinho da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Taquaral's goalkeeper Doni Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duarte Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Kléberson Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doni Paes. Taquaral's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kléberson Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 30th minute, Moinhos ES's Kléberson Recife dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The long shot by Remo Lira in the 34th minute really tested Doni Paes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A hard shot 37 in the game by Claudinho Pombal from a close distance when the talented Doni Paes managed to make a qualified save. Taquaral's players were relieved. If Lúcio Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Moinhos ES's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Mattos came free, but Claudinho da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Claudinho Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duarte Mattos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Lúcio Leal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho da Rocha. After 55 played minutes, Moinhos ES's Remo Lira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Doni Paes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Moinhos ES reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kléberson Recife in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doni Paes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lúcio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho da Rocha having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Claudinho Pombal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taquaral's Doni Paes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Moinhos ES's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Mattos came free, but Claudinho da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Claudinho Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Taquaral's zone, Kléberson Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doni Paes came out of the goal and Kléberson Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moinhos ES's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
