Spectators: 6536 (Terracing: 5536, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Reinaldo Peres made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Squadra Borges Azzura's goalkeeper Tiago de Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinho Pombal. When Reinaldo Peres came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Squadra Borges Azzura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Peres couldn't finish the play. Reinaldo Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Claudinho da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Claudinho Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Moinhos ES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Pombal couldn't finish the play. Moinhos ES's Kléberson Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kléberson Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Moinhos ES booed when Squadra Borges Azzura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinho Pombal hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Reinaldo Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho da Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinaldo Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. When Carlinhos Baiano fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moinhos ES's protests and gave Carlinhos Baiano a yellow card for diving instead. Squadra Borges Azzura's Tiago de Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Squadra Borges Azzura from getting a goal against them. Squadra Borges Azzura's Zézinho Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinho da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Pombal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Moinhos ES's Carlinhos Baiano got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 44th minute, Claudinho Pombal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago de Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 47 played minutes Squadra Borges Azzura got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Mendes. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho Pombal was the one to do the kick off. When Gilson Pernambucano fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Squadra Borges Azzura's protests and gave Gilson Pernambucano a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Squadra Borges Azzura got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Pernambucano. Claudinho Pombal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Pombal in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago de Godoi saved Squadra Borges Azzura from getting behind. Kléberson Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Tiago de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moinhos ES's Claudinho Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Claudinho Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Squadra Borges Azzura got a corner. Moinhos ES's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Carlos Correia ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in João Carlos Correia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Moinhos ES's Claudinho da Rocha did a great save. When Moinhos ES's Claudinho Pombal in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Squadra Borges Azzura's goalie prevented a goal. Waldemar Terra hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Tiago de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinho Pombal's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Claudinho Pombal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Squadra Borges Azzura's Tiago de Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th match minute, Moinhos ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Baiano to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes Moinhos ES got a freekick which was hit by Roger Faria. Zézinho Leão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Claudinho da Rocha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
