The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Falcão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If João Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, 4 E V E R T O N's goalkeeper Jefferson Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Trigo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evaristo Falcão in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferson Machado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Mesquita's late challenge caught a 4 E V E R T O N's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
