The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandinho Vinhas during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of E. C. XV de Bauru booed when Maquine SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When César Loyola fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maquine SC's protests and gave César Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. 30 minutes into the game, Leonardo Esteves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Juarês do Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michel Leme came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by E. C. XV de Bauru's Valdemar de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Valdemar de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Michel Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Maquine SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmílson Meireles in the 53rd minute. The corner ended in Edmílson Meireles almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but E. C. XV de Bauru's Juarês do Nascimento did a great save. 54 minutes into the game, Clóvis Proença was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E. C. XV de Bauru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maquine SC the free kick. A collision led to E. C. XV de Bauru getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Clóvis Proença hit a great ball. When Maquine SC's Leonardo Esteves in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E. C. XV de Bauru's goalie prevented a goal. Gernando Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 minutes of play Maquine SC's César Loyola was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Leonardo Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renato Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês do Nascimento having to interfere. Juarês do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Baptista in the 70th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes E. C. XV de Bauru got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Proença. Juarês do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of E. C. XV de Bauru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Maquine SC:s goal. The referee gave Maquine SC a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmílson Meireles, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of E. C. XV de Bauru's Juarês do Nascimento. 2-1. Edmundo Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Michel Leme made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Leonardo Esteves put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Juarês do Nascimento. After 95 minutes of play Maquine SC's Fernandinho Vinhas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 96 played minutes Maquine SC got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Vinhas. 97 minutes into the game, Cristiano Pimenta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E. C. XV de Bauru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maquine SC the free kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the E. C. XV de Bauru players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maquine SC.
