After 70 played minutes Meia Lua FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Paranaense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Teles got free with Jorginho Prata in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jean Teles was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Meia Lua FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 83rd minute, Hernani Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Valente FC's zone, Thomás Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Prata came out of the goal and Thomás Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
