Fellipe Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cléberson Furlan charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléberson Furlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cléberson Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Fellipe Linhares took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fellipe Terra to make any attempt to save it. Fellipe Terra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho da Silva in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Prado in the 20th minute of play forced Marineiro AD's goalkeeper Tomé Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Andradas United's zone, Celsinho da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fellipe Terra came out of the goal and Celsinho da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Celsinho da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celsinho da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Fellipe Terra made a huge save. Ronaldão do Valle hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Marineiro AD's Fellipe Terra threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fellipe Linhares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 39 minutes into the game, Álvaro Carioca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tomé Mazza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andradas United's Fellipe Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Andradas United from getting a goal against them. When Magno Soeiro fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Andradas United's protests and gave Magno Soeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Magno Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Celsinho da Silva came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Marineiro AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho da Silva couldn't finish the play. After the first half Andradas United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Álvaro Carioca to make the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Andradas United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marineiro AD:s goal. Ronaldo de Lima shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Fellipe Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes, Andradas United's Murillo Pirani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomé Mazza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Andradas United reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Vides in the 61st minute of play forced Andradas United's goalkeeper Fellipe Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Nico Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marineiro AD were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Andradas United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ronaldo de Lima took the corner. Andrézinho Vinhas made a great header on Marineiro AD's corner, it was just that Andradas United's Fellipe Terra managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Linhares in the 67th minute of play forced Andradas United's goalkeeper Fellipe Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andradas United's Fellipe Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Linhares in the 83rd minute of play. Andradas United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marineiro AD the free kick. The supporters of Marineiro AD booed when Andradas United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball.
