When Fernandinho Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 4 E V E R T O N's protests and gave Fernandinho Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, 4 E V E R T O N was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandinho Freitas to maneuver through the defense. If Jean Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Teles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Jean Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Machado having to interfere. Jean Teles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jefferson Machado made a huge save. 21 minutes into the game, Eduardo Passos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jefferson Machado. Eduardo Passos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. João Augusto Porto took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enio Correia. Enio Correia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If João Augusto Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomás Paranaense's late challenge caught a 4 E V E R T O N's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomás Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Thomás Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Meia Lua FC's Jean Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduardo Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Passos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jefferson Machado was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Benjamim Furlan made the kick off in the second half. Jefferson Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Passos in the 57th minute of play. Jefferson Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Jefferson Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Passos's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. When Eduardo Passos got free in front of the goal in the 69th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jefferson Machado was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Passos in the 72nd minute of play forced 4 E V E R T O N's goalkeeper Jefferson Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, 4 E V E R T O N's Agostinho Leão got a free kick in the 79th minute. Jean Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jefferson Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. The Meia Lua FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Meia Lua FC fully deserved thier win.
