Norberto Bertassi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Jean Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, EC Sapupira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Robinho Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, EC Sapupira's Fernando Aguiar got a free kick in the 31st minute. 37 minutes into the match, Meia Lua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Xavier came free, but Enio Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Teles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robinho Pitta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. EC Sapupira's Robinho Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Passos in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Jean Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Eduardo Passos fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meia Lua FC's protests and gave Eduardo Passos a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Meia Lua FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Passos. When EC Sapupira's Fabinho Moraes in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an all-out effort, EC Sapupira's Enio Correia threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabinho Moraes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 72nd match minute, Meia Lua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Norberto Bertassi sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Enio Correia threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Norberto Bertassi this time. Robinho Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean Teles scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robinho Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Passos in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robinho Pitta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in EC Sapupira's zone, Jean Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Pitta came out of the goal and Jean Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
