It was a penalty for Maquine SC! Gernando Baptista struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Tomé Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maquine SC. Michel Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gernando Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tomé Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fellipe Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Marineiro AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fellipe Linhares couldn't finish the play. Maquine SC's Michel Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandão de Amorim in the 30th minute of play. When Fernandinho Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maquine SC's protests and gave Fernandinho Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. Fernandinho Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Michel Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Linhares in the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Maquine SC got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Baptista. Jorge Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Aloísio Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marineiro AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maquine SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fellipe Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fellipe Linhares made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Linhares in the 56th minute of play forced Maquine SC's goalkeeper Michel Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maquine SC's Michel Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Maquine SC from getting a goal against them. Fellipe Linhares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. The Marineiro AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomé Mazza should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Emanuel Vides took a quick shot and it went in 2-7 without a chance for Michel Leme to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho da Silva got free with Michel Leme in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marineiro AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
