A collision led to Valente FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Juninho Faria hit a great ball. In the 4th match minute, Valente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Jorginho Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabinho Moraes in the 8th minute of the match. EC Sapupira's Robinho Pitta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save EC Sapupira from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind EC Sapupira's goalkeeper Robinho Pitta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robinho Pitta made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Léo de Souza sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renan Pena during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of EC Sapupira booed when Valente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Norberto Bertassi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorginho Prata skillfully saved the ball. When EC Sapupira's Edgar Xavier in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valente FC's goalie prevented a goal. Renan Pena hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Valente FC's Jorginho Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Moraes in the 30th minute of play. Edgar Xavier struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jorginho Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EC Sapupira. After some careless play in the Valente FC defense, Fabinho Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorginho Prata. The Valente FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorginho Prata should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute, Juninho Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabinho Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Léo de Souza made a kick off. Edgar Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Fabinho Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Nico Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valente FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EC Sapupira the free kick. Nico Amorim hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Valente FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hernani Veiga in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léo de Souza in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robinho Pitta saved EC Sapupira from getting behind. In the 70th match minute, EC Sapupira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Veiga to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Fabinho Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th play minute Edgar Xavier came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jorginho Prata. 0-2. After 82 minutes, Fernando Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Sapupira and the Valente FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Léo de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Robinho Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Aguiar got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to EC Sapupira getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Fernando Aguiar hit a great ball. Léo de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Pitta having to interfere. Edgar Xavier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Valente FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching EC Sapupira's performance. The match ended with a win for EC Sapupira.
