Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fellipe Linhares started the match with the kick off. If Emílio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 5 minutes, Valdir Paulista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oswaldo Atletico and the Marineiro AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdir Paulista hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Emílio Neto came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Oswaldo Atletico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Neto couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Marineiro AD's Jaime Barreto got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute Fellipe Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fellipe Linhares's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Fellipe Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Luz having to interfere. If Emílio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murillo Paraense during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Oswaldo Atletico's Murillo Paraense got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Celsinho da Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celsinho da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Fellipe Linhares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gil Luz, 1-0. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Oswaldo Atletico's goalkeeper Gil Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Dadá Pontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomé Mazza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tomé Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dadá Pontes made the kick off in the second half. Gil Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho da Silva in the 57th minute of play. Gil Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Linhares in the 58th minute of the match. Gil Luz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fellipe Linhares went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 68 played minutes Oswaldo Atletico got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Paulista. Noel Pombal hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes, Marineiro AD's Ronaldo de Lima shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gil Luz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marineiro AD reached it. 73 minutes into the match, Celsinho da Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Luz. Oswaldo Atletico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celsinho da Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 82 minutes into the match, Marineiro AD's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Pontes came free, but Tomé Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tomé Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fellipe Linhares's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marineiro AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Oswaldo Atletico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
