Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eduardo Passos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Thomás Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meia Lua FC's protests and gave Thomás Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Thomás Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Passos might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luciano Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Passos ran back to his position shaking his head. After 14th play minutes Oscar Trigo shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Enio Correia and just under the crossbar into goal. Enio Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Trigo in the 19th minute of the match. Oscar Trigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enio Correia having to make a save. Eduardo Passos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luciano Saraiva came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Passos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Evaristo Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luciano Saraiva was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jefferson Prata. A collision led to Grêmio F.B.P.A getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. João Mesquita hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Teles got free with Luciano Saraiva in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Evaristo Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grêmio F.B.P.A's Evaristo Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evaristo Falcão was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Oscar Trigo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Meia Lua FC's Enio Correia. Enio Correia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Enio Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Jean Teles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luciano Saraiva. Grêmio F.B.P.A's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Teles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. A collision led to Grêmio F.B.P.A getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Célio França hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Jean Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Eduardo Passos notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Grêmio F.B.P.A's Luciano Saraiva. Luciano Saraiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Meia Lua FC booed when Grêmio F.B.P.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Arósio, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Passos in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Grêmio F.B.P.A getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ezequiel Rossi hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Grêmio F.B.P.A's Jeferson do Nascimento seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jeferson do Nascimento the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grêmio F.B.P.A protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jeferson do Nascimento had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Grêmio F.B.P.A:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Meia Lua FC:s goal. 88 minutes into the match, Grêmio F.B.P.A's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Passos came free, but Luciano Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match Diamantino Arósio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luciano Saraiva skillfully saved the ball. Oscar Trigo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Enio Correia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. João Mesquita's late challenge caught a Meia Lua FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Grêmio F.B.P.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Passos struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Luciano Saraiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meia Lua FC.
