Juarês do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Passos in the 4th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Meia Lua FC's zone, Edmundo Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enio Correia came out of the goal and Edmundo Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês do Nascimento having to interfere. In the 11th minute Eduardo Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Passos was the one to do the kick off. If Edmundo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Passos in the 56th minute of play forced E. C. XV de Bauru's goalkeeper Juarês do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to E. C. XV de Bauru getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Valdemar de Mendonça hit a great ball. Diamantino Arósio's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Juarês do Nascimento on his right side and into the goal. 62 minutes into the game it was 2-0. The supporters of Meia Lua FC booed when E. C. XV de Bauru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juarês do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67thth minute of the game Jean Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E. C. XV de Bauru's Juarês do Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Thomás Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meia Lua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomás Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juarês do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clóvis Proença hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Jean Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Teles struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Juarês do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meia Lua FC. In the 77th minute, Tomás Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean Teles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juarês do Nascimento having to make a save. E. C. XV de Bauru's Juarês do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Passos in the 81st minute of play. Eduardo Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Juarês do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eduardo Passos came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Meia Lua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Passos couldn't finish the play. When Meia Lua FC's Jean Teles in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E. C. XV de Bauru's goalie prevented a goal. In the 96th minute Eduardo Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Meia Lua FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
