Carazinho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKAI FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Carazinho FC's Diguinho Passos got a free kick in the 21st minute. Adelino Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Quirino having to interfere. The supporters of AKAI FC booed when Carazinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chico Camargo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chico Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Caetano Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dênis Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chico Camargo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dênis Penha ran back to his position shaking his head. With splendid footwork Anselmo Tasso arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-4 by the left pole in the game's 92nd minute. AKAI FC's Chico Camargo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save AKAI FC from getting a goal against them. The AKAI FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Carazinho FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Carazinho FC.
