Spectators: 7025 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arí Godoi started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Jonathan da Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Tome booed when Sapiranga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alan Tavares hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Tome's Sílvio Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Braga in the 8th minute of play. A hard shot 11 in the game by Tales Secco from a close distance when the talented Sílvio Veloso managed to make a qualified save. Tome's players were relieved. Tales Secco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Sílvio Veloso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Godoi in the 16th minute of play forced Sapiranga's goalkeeper Sidney da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Léo de Lara hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Paulinho Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sapiranga's Tales Secco got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Aníbal Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sílvio Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Braga in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Veloso saved Tome from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Aníbal Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tales Secco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Sílvio Veloso made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Aníbal Braga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sílvio Veloso. The goal made the score 1-1.

Léo de Lara was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of Tome booed when Sapiranga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sidney da Cunha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Henrique Guedes. 57 minutes into the match, Aníbal Braga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Veloso. Tome's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Braga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. A collision led to Sapiranga getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gildo Pires hit a great ball. Sidney da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Godoi in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Penha in the 65th minute of play forced Sapiranga's goalkeeper Sidney da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 minutes of play, Sapiranga's Egídio Aguiar made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Tavares during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alan Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Egídio Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidney da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan da Costa in the 84th minute of play. Sapiranga's Sidney da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Sapiranga from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Inácio Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tome's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sapiranga the free kick. In the 88th match minute, Tome was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Santana to maneuver through the defense. Arí Godoi managed to, on his own, get straight through Sapiranga's defense and in the 91st minute placed the ball to the left of Sidney da Cunha. 3-2. With an all-out effort, Tome's Sidney da Cunha threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arí Godoi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sapiranga were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tome for a fine match.
