César Paraíba made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jacinto Viana however managed to control. If Caetano Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Natanael França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Caetano Domingues notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atletico do Urias's Natanael França. Natanael França was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 44th minute, Caetano Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AKAI FC's Chico Camargo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save AKAI FC from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in AKAI FC's zone, Duarte Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Camargo came out of the goal and Duarte Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Atletico do Urias booed when AKAI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Rogério de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duarte Borges in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chico Camargo saved AKAI FC from getting behind. Duarte Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Chico Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AKAI FC's Maurício Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raúl Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Natanael França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Arce in the 69th minute of the match. AKAI FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Atletico do Urias to leave the ground with a draw.
