If Gildo Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sapiranga's Sidney da Cunha got control of the ball when Pedrão de Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Pedrão de Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Carlos Eduardo Ramalho took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidney da Cunha. Sidney da Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Sapiranga's Aníbal Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tales Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC SHOWRINTHIANS PAULISTA support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
