Silvinho Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Soneca AC's Luciano Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney da Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Sapiranga's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Montenegro came free, but Sidney da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Sapiranga's Sidney da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Alves in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Sapiranga's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Alves came free, but Sidney da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Silvinho Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kauan Arce made a kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Júnior Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sapiranga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soneca AC the free kick. A collision led to Sapiranga getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Júnior Mesquita hit a great ball. With a little luck, Sapiranga's Sidney da Cunha got control of the ball when Gilberto Motta tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Montenegro in the 62nd minute of play forced Sapiranga's goalkeeper Sidney da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aníbal Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tales Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sapiranga's Sidney da Cunha got control of the ball when Luciano Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sapiranga's Júnior Mesquita got a free kick in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Alves got free with Sidney da Cunha in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Kauan Arce dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sidney da Cunha, 0-3. With a little luck, Sapiranga's Sidney da Cunha got control of the ball when Gilberto Motta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luciano Alves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Sidney da Cunha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aníbal Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rdth minute of the game Tales Secco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soneca AC's Vicente Goiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aníbal Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vicente Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tales Secco in the 93rd minute of play forced Soneca AC's goalkeeper Vicente Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, João Paulo Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sidney da Cunha, 0-4. Soneca AC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
