Kauã Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, JAPARAIBA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Carvalho came free, but Kauã Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tome's Jonathan da Costa got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 15 minutes of play, JAPARAIBA FC's Rubinho Barbosa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Tome getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jonathan da Costa hit a great ball. Renato Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kauã Fantini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. José Paulo Camargo might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Veloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Paulo Camargo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Tome getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Henrique Guedes hit a great ball. JAPARAIBA FC's Douglas Damião couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 45th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tome. If Rubinho Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Arí Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauã Fantini having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Renato Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tome's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, JAPARAIBA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Godoi came free, but Kauã Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Renato Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tome's Sílvio Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Barbosa in the 63rd minute of play. JAPARAIBA FC's Rubinho Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Veloso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tome's zone, Rubinho Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Veloso came out of the goal and Rubinho Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Paulo Camargo in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Tome getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Valdemar Penha hit a great ball. Renato Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Kauã Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute of the match, Arí Godoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kauã Fantini saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to JAPARAIBA FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rubinho Quintal hit a great ball. JAPARAIBA FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Tome had controlled the match.
