FK Inter Bratislava's Pedrão Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Cruz in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Remo Cruz made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Nico Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Roger do Nascimento took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for David Gerber to make any attempt to save it. If Roger do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger do Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Gerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger do Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedrão Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
