Spectators: 7211 (Terracing: 5409, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Giuseppe Madureira kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Giuseppe Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rianopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tião Paes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nico Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nico Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Rianopolis got a freekick which was hit by Nico Queiroz. Matías de Castro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rianopolis's goalkeeper Claudinei Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Rianopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Eduardo Recife in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tião Paes saved Sarandi Futebol Clube from getting behind. Carlos Eduardo Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Tião Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Léo Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Léo Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 32 minutes into the game, one of Rianopolis:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Claudinei Quirino, was totally fooled by Sarandi Futebol Clube's Matías de Castro, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 39th minute, Giuseppe Madureira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sérgio de Andrade's late challenge caught a Rianopolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio de Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. Sérgio de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rianopolis's Giuseppe Madureira got a free kick in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albertinho de Almeida made a kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rianopolis's goalkeeper Claudinei Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Sarandi Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Madureira came free, but Tião Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuseppe Madureira struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Tião Paes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rianopolis. If Carlos Eduardo Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sérgio de Andrade was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. A collision led to Sarandi Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Sérgio de Andrade hit a great ball. In the 69th minute of the match Richard Trevisan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tião Paes skillfully saved the ball. Tião Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Madureira in the 73rd minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sarandi Futebol Clube booed when Rianopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 minutes of play Rianopolis's Nico Queiroz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nico Queiroz hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião Paes having to interfere. Carlos Eduardo Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo Recife cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tião Paes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Sarandi Futebol Clube's Tião Paes got control of the ball when Carlos Eduardo Recife tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Rianopolis could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sarandi Futebol Clube throughout the match.
