Bella Ginga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Hawks the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bella Ginga FC's Vitinho Pimenta got a free kick in the 16th minute. Délio de Castro hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Basílio Damião came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Red Hawks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Damião couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Red Hawks booed when Bella Ginga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizinho Azevedo made a kick off. If Guaberto Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Guaberto Jax fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Diguinho Veloso, passed just outside the right post. Ray Delas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Neto scored 2-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ray Delas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luizinho Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guaberto Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Azevedo in the 83rd minute of play forced Red Hawks's goalkeeper Diguinho Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Red Hawks's zone, Guaberto Jax stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Veloso came out of the goal and Guaberto Jax tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th match minute, Bella Ginga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Vianna to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes, Red Hawks's Carlos Fernando Breckenfeld shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ray Delas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Hawks reached it. 92 minutes into the match, Bella Ginga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ediberto Travassos came free, but Ray Delas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bella Ginga FC's Guaberto Jax got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Red Hawks support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
