In the 12thth minute of the game Jarbas Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XURUPITAS AFC's Yan Trancoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Frédson Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capinzal's protests and gave Frédson Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Capinzal getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Frédson Duarte hit a great ball. José Augusto Messias took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yan Trancoso. Yan Trancoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 25th minute José Augusto Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarbas Esteves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yan Trancoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Douglas Pena succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 33rd playminute. 36 minutes into the match, José Augusto Messias notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of XURUPITAS AFC's Yan Trancoso. Yan Trancoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Capinzal's Jarbas Esteves got a free kick in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Velasco in the 44th minute of play forced Capinzal's goalkeeper Léo de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Capinzal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Proença to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Allan Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo de Andrade having to interfere. A collision led to Capinzal getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Mané Vale hit a great ball. Douglas Pena might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Léo de Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Pena ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Capinzal's Jardel Hoffmann got a free kick in the 60th minute. It was beautiful to see XURUPITAS AFC's Kauan Vieira in action when he in the 62nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Allan Velasco put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Léo de Andrade. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind XURUPITAS AFC's goalkeeper Yan Trancoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Allan Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, José Augusto Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yan Trancoso. XURUPITAS AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Augusto Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Jarbas Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Yan Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Augusto Messias got free with Yan Trancoso in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Léo de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Velasco in the 87th minute of the match. Allan Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Jarbas Esteves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The XURUPITAS AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Capinzal's performance. The match ended with a win for Capinzal.
