After a defensive mix-up in Pederneiras Youth Academy's zone, Tiago Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulão Leme came out of the goal and Tiago Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Deivid Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, Pederneiras Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Loyola came free, but Paulão Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes Pederneiras Youth Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erik de Lara who took care of the corner kick. Paulão Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Marinho in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deivid Marinho in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulão Leme saved Pederneiras Youth Academy from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Marequeta SC's goalkeeper Ismael Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Pedro de Amorim. When Deivid Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Marequeta SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deivid Marinho couldn't finish the play. Mané Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Tiago Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Deivid Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Marequeta SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 61 minutes, Deivid Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marequeta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deivid Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tiago Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Marequeta SC fans jumped to their feet. The Pederneiras Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tiago Loyola was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Marequeta SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 84 played minutes Deivid Marinho rounded Pederneiras Youth Academy's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. When João Pedro de Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Pederneiras Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro de Amorim couldn't finish the play. João Pedro de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
