The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto de Azevedo in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Marinho saved Preço de Paçoca F.C from getting behind. When Valério Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Preço de Paçoca F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Amorim couldn't finish the play. Roberto Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Marinho having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aloísio Quadros got free with Pedro Luiz Leme in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Batateira's Pedro Luiz Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Batateira from getting a goal against them. Roberto Mandrak's late challenge caught a Preço de Paçoca F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. Valério Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luiz Leme having to interfere. With his leg Pedro Luiz Leme managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Preço de Paçoca F.C's Valério Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 28 minutes into the match, Gilberto de Azevedo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Preço de Paçoca F.C's Renato Marinho. Renato Marinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the match, Preço de Paçoca F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Vinhas came free, but Renato Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Valério Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Luiz Leme. Valério Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Aloísio Quadros did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Pedro Luiz Leme 39 minutes into the match. Pedro Luiz Leme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aloísio Quadros in the 45th minute. Valério Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valério Amorim made a kick off. Aloísio Quadros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Luiz Leme having to make a save. After 58 minutes of play, Preço de Paçoca F.C's Aloísio Quadros made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Luiz Leme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juarês Gonçalves's late challenge caught a Preço de Paçoca F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 62nd match minute, Batateira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Preço de Paçoca F.C's Valério Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Leme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Renato Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto de Azevedo in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batateira's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Leme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 80 minutes of play, Preço de Paçoca F.C's Aloísio Quadros made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Luiz Leme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aloísio Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luiz Leme came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Preço de Paçoca F.C's Valério Amorim. But to his dismay, Valério Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Batateira's zone, Valério Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luiz Leme came out of the goal and Valério Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Batateira getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Roberto Mandrak hit a great ball. In the 98th minute Valério Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Batateira players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Preço de Paçoca F.C.
