A collision led to DescabeladosdaBiqueira getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Murilo Freire hit a great ball. Leonel Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Azevedo having to interfere. If Gugu Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Claudinho Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Valdemar Urbano notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Piracununga's Angelo Abreu. Angelo Abreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulo Renato Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jerônimo Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piracununga. In the 65th minute, Valdemar Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DescabeladosdaBiqueira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Mattos in the 84th minute of play forced DescabeladosdaBiqueira's goalkeeper Jerônimo Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gugu Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Piracununga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu Mattos couldn't finish the play. Gugu Mattos scored 4-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerônimo Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. DescabeladosdaBiqueira's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
