With a little luck, Liga Palhocense's Rafael Schmidt got control of the ball when Evandro Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgilio Blum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Liga Palhocense's Virgilio Blum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vânderson Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pinhais FC's zone, Geovânio Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vânderson Gonçalves came out of the goal and Geovânio Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vânderson Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Blum's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Virgilio Blum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liga Palhocense's Rafael Schmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Liga Palhocense from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério Trevisan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evandro Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Virgilio Blum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Róbson Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Pinhais FC's goalkeeper Vânderson Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovânio Rodrigues. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Virgilio Blum took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Vânderson Gonçalves to make any attempt to save it. Geovânio Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Vânderson Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Catarinense in the 85th minute of play forced Liga Palhocense's goalkeeper Rafael Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Pinhais FC's Paulo Zonta broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Pinhais FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Liga Palhocense were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
