The Macacas SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Trevisan should have stopped the shot. The Macacas SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Liga Palhocense were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Blum made a kick off. Liga Palhocense's Virgilio Blum got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roberto Custódio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Geovânio Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liga Palhocense's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovânio Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Trevisan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovânio Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Frank Hermes hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Liga Palhocense played a much better game than Macacas SC and deserved their victory. The Macacas SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
