Gugu Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Piracununga booed when Liga Palhocense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Piracununga's goalkeeper Angelo Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Galvão. 12 minutes into the game, Geovânio Rodrigues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Angelo Abreu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Piracununga's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Tiago Galvão scored to the left of an out of position Angelo Abreu, making the score, 3-1. Rafael Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Mattos in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Liga Palhocense's Virgilio Blum ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Abreu. Angelo Abreu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Angelo Abreu made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Tiago Galvão sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Virgilio Blum made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Liga Palhocense getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Juan Macedo hit a great ball. Virgilio Blum took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Abreu. Angelo Abreu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Angelo Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, Juan Macedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Angelo Abreu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Tiago Galvão notched a goal, 9-1, to the right of Piracununga's Angelo Abreu. Angelo Abreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 82 minutes into the game, Liga Palhocense's Tiago Galvão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Abreu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-1. 86 minutes into the match, Liga Palhocense's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Sarmento came free, but Rafael Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Virgilio Blum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gugu Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piracununga's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liga Palhocense's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
