Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Júlio Antunes made the kick off which started today's match. When Rodriguinho Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TORRE FORTE's protests and gave Rodriguinho Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes TORRE FORTE got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Quintal. If Téo Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Mutantes Esporte Clube's Humberto Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gláuber Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Mutantes Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Anísio Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jailson Camargo. After 20 played minutes Mutantes Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Décio da Silveira. In the 28th minute, Jailson Camargo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jailson Camargo got free with Anísio Pontes in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the game, Jailson Camargo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anísio Pontes. Jailson Camargo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Gláuber Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Neto in the 34th minute of play. Jailson Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Pontes having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 54 played minutes Mutantes Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Moura. Mutantes Esporte Clube's Anísio Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Antunes in the 67th minute of play. Téo Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Júlio Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TORRE FORTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Júlio Antunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anísio Pontes having to make a save. If Jailson Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jailson Camargo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anísio Pontes was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. If Décio da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
