If Róbson Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vânderson Gonçalves came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by GRÊMIO's Rodri Gol. But to his dismay, Rodri Gol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rodri Gol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodri Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Gonçalves having to interfere. Vânderson Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodri Gol in the 28th minute of the match. Rodri Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vânderson Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodri Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. Marciano Lia lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, GRÊMIO's Marciano Lia got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Paulo Zonta struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Kléberson Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinhais FC. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Coelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ademar Sarmento's late challenge caught a Pinhais FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademar Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Ademar Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Róbson Falcão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodri Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vânderson Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Rodri Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vânderson Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodri Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodri Gol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Vânderson Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pinhais FC's Yan Berger pulled a muscle in his back after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 67th minute, Antônio Carlos Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evandro Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Kléberson Coelho made a huge save. Vânderson Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodri Gol in the 70th minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Rodri Gol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinhais FC's Vânderson Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Róbson Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Evandro Guerra could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Kléberson Coelho however easily saved by the left post.
