Marcelinho Soares helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Arraias got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Soares. Grêmio Footbaal PA's Luís Fernando Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Mineiro in the 19th minute of play. Carlos Fernando Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Décio Arce went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Carlos Fernando Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Grêmio Footbaal PA's Flávio Messias in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nildo Neto hit a great ball. When Grêmio Footbaal PA's Flávio Messias in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Arraias's Carlos Fernando Cabral got control of the ball when Telmo Meirelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Carlos Fernando Cabral managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Grêmio Footbaal PA's Décio Arce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match was over Grêmio Footbaal PA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arraias throughout the match.
