After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Lauro Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arraias's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauro Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Fernando Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Giovani Velasco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Carlos Fernando Cabral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 25th minute Augusto Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Arraias's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durval Santos. In the 58th minute Lauro Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Arraias's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Queiroz came free, but Carlos Fernando Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes, Valdomiro Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arraias and the Trindade FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdomiro Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani Velasco in the 75th minute of play forced Arraias's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Marcelinho Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arraias's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trindade FC the free kick.
