After 40 minutes of play, Firelink Team's Luizão Andrade made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Fernando Cabral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Narciso de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Cabral having to interfere. Arraias's Carlos Fernando Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Andrade in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Firelink Team were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
