If Osvaldinho Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Braga in the 24th minute of play forced Lamacre's goalkeeper Rony de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Hortêncio Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lamacre's Rony de Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tostão Lima's late challenge caught a Guerra FCP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tostão Lima helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Lamacre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão Lima to maneuver through the defense. Hortêncio Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Osvaldinho Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Lamacre's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Prestes came free, but Rony de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hortêncio Prestes to make the kick off. Tostão Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aloísio da Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tostão Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. Osvaldinho Lago who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Rony de Moraes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 58 played minutes Lamacre got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Mangueira. Osvaldinho Lago's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Rony de Moraes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hortêncio Prestes struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Rony de Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guerra FCP. Rony de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Guerra FCP's Hortêncio Prestes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 73rdth minute of the game Hortêncio Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lamacre's Rony de Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rony de Moraes made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Osvaldinho Lago sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Lamacre's André Luiz Gaspar got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lamacre's zone, Hortêncio Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony de Moraes came out of the goal and Hortêncio Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rony de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Braga in the 86th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Hortêncio Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lamacre's Rony de Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Guerra FCP could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lamacre throughout the match.
