Spectators: 5008 (Terracing: 4005, Seating: 1003, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lauro Mineiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guerra FCP's zone, Lauro Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio da Costa came out of the goal and Lauro Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Gilson Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Aloísio da Costa. Guerra FCP's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Carlos Fernando Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Prestes in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, Arraias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Soares to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Mineiro in the 13th minute of play forced Guerra FCP's goalkeeper Aloísio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Hortêncio Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guerra FCP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lauro Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Arraias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Mineiro couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Guerra FCP getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ronaldinho Braga hit a great ball. Arraias's Valdir Terra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guerra FCP. Gilson Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Fernando Cabral came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Guerra FCP's Osvaldinho Lago. But to his dismay, Osvaldinho Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Carlos Fernando Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Prestes in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Prestes in the 40th minute of play forced Arraias's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Mineiro in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hortêncio Prestes was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adalberto Coelho during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Guerra FCP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Coelho to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Arraias's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Lago came free, but Carlos Fernando Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes, Guerra FCP's Rubinho Miranda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Cabral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guerra FCP reached it. Carlos Fernando Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes, Lauro Mineiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arraias and the Guerra FCP players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Arraias getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lauro Mineiro hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Hortêncio Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldinho Lago struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Carlos Fernando Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guerra FCP. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
