Velanie FC's Hernani Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Lima in the 17th minute of play. Magno Koehler came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rony de Moraes could save by the left post. In the 27th minute, Jonas Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With splendid footwork Jonas Damião arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 29th minute. When Tostão Lima fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lamacre's protests and gave Tostão Lima a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Lamacre got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Lima. After a defensive mix-up in Lamacre's zone, Magno Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony de Moraes came out of the goal and Magno Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Mangueira to make the kick off. When Jonas Damião came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Velanie FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Damião couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the match, Lamacre's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Recife came free, but Rony de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Paranaense in the 55th minute of play forced Lamacre's goalkeeper Rony de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Magno Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Jonas Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velanie FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Lamacre's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Damião came free, but Rony de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rony de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Koehler in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Jonas Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes, Augusto Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lamacre and the Velanie FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Augusto Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Velanie FC had played much better football throughout.
