Ivo Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Braganca's Dorival Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Braganca from getting a goal against them. If Luisão Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Braganca's zone, Dráusio Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Oliveira came out of the goal and Dráusio Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Braganca's Dorival Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Braganca from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Adelino Hermes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorival Oliveira. Braganca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adelino Hermes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Walmir Travassos hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Luiz Fernando Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Aníbal Severo made a precise shot to the right of Narciso de Alcântara. Charqueadense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Adelino Hermes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Charqueadense's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With an all-out effort, Charqueadense's Dorival Oliveira threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adelino Hermes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caio do Valle was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Luiz Fernando Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oséas Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséas Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Braganca's Oséas Azevedo got a free kick in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Charqueadense's goalkeeper Narciso de Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Barreto. If Caio do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorival Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorival Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisão Arce in the 70th minute of the match. Adelino Hermes scored 3-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dorival Oliveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Braganca's goal looked a bit too open when Caio do Valle came free, but Dorival Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fernando Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso de Alcântara having to interfere. Adelino Hermes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dorival Oliveira having to make a save. Caio do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Charqueadense fully deserved thier win.
