Mané Ramalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Tavares in the 8th minute. In the 15th minute, Goianesia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adriano Tavares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Adriano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes Red Nozes Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto de Amorim. Red Nozes Football Club's Jorginho Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Neves in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Sarmento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jorginho Loureiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mané Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Tiago Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Mané Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Ramalho having to interfere. A collision led to Red Nozes Football Club getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Adriano Tavares hit a great ball. Tiago Leite struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Mané Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Nozes Football Club. With his leg Mané Ramalho managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Red Nozes Football Club's Adriano Tavares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mané Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Tiago Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umberto Neves was the one to do the kick off. After 60 played minutes Goianesia got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Capixaba. In the 70th match minute, Goianesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Branco to maneuver through the defense. Mané Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mané Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Tavares in the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Válbson da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 minutes, Adriano Tavares made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Goianesia's Mané Ramalho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Reginaldo Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute.
