In the 17th minute Tiago Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red Nozes Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Red Nozes Football Club's goalkeeper Jorginho Loureiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio do Valle. Red Nozes Football Club's Jorginho Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Hermes in the 45th minute of play. A collision led to Red Nozes Football Club getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Haroldo Miranda hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio do Valle in the 55th minute of play forced Red Nozes Football Club's goalkeeper Jorginho Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Adelino Hermes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Charqueadense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 60th minute, Red Nozes Football Club's Carlos Alberto de Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Narciso de Alcântara. Narciso de Alcântara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After 67 minutes, Caio do Valle made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Red Nozes Football Club's Jorginho Loureiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Charqueadense's Narciso de Alcântara got control of the ball when Adriano Tavares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 played minutes Charqueadense got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Galvão. Tiago Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jorginho Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caio do Valle went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Narciso de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Leite in the 80th minute of play. Haroldo Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso de Alcântara having to interfere. Jorginho Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Hermes in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Adriano Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caio do Valle struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Jorginho Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charqueadense. In the 95th minute Caio do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Charqueadense had won after a very even match.
