Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luiz Fernando Nogueira started the match with the kick off. Dorival Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Santana in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Braganca's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Santana came free, but Dorival Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8thth minute of the game Sidnei Santana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Braganca's Dorival Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute, Aníbal Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorival Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gláuber Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Belmiro Barreto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Braganca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Florence FC booed when Braganca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fernando Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Paraíba having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Gláuber Negri notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Braganca's Dorival Oliveira. Dorival Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gláuber Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dorival Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Florence FC got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Valadares. Oséas Azevedo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 32 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Dorival Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Negri in the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Gláuber Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florence FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gláuber Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Florence FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando Nogueira came free, but Sílvio Luís Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gláuber Negri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diamantino Valadares hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Braganca's Oséas Azevedo took a good shot, in the 55th minute, which hit the crossbar above Sílvio Luís Paraíba's head, and flew over the goal. Florence FC's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Braganca. Belmiro Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Luís Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando Nogueira in the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Braganca's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Negri came free, but Dorival Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Negri in the 69th minute of play forced Braganca's goalkeeper Dorival Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Luiz Fernando Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidnei Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Oliveira having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gláuber Negri in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorival Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gláuber Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Florence FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
