Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Furtainha SC's Luiz Fabiano Gerber started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dênis Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Loureiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Gerber scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorginho Loureiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorginho Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Gerber in the 10th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Carlos Alberto de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luiz Fabiano Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Furtainha SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Gerber couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fabiano Gerber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorginho Loureiro having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Red Nozes Football Club's zone, Dênis Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Loureiro came out of the goal and Dênis Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Sidnei Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Furtainha SC's Jorginho Vidal got a free kick in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Red Nozes Football Club's Válbson da Silva broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Red Nozes Football Club's Adriano Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Furtainha SC got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Cruz. Dênis Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jorginho Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto de Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Nozes Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Furtainha SC the free kick. After 44 played minutes Red Nozes Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto de Amorim. Furtainha SC's Durval Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Leite in the 48th minute of play. The Red Nozes Football Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Furtainha SC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiago Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 65th match minute, Furtainha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Gerber to maneuver through the defense. If Adriano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fabiano Gerber received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorginho Loureiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Luiz Fabiano Gerber slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 77th minute. Agnaldo Cruz's late challenge caught a Red Nozes Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agnaldo Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute Tiago Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red Nozes Football Club's Jorginho Loureiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Red Nozes Football Club from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute of the match Furtainha SC got a corner. Red Nozes Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clóvis de Sena ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Clóvis de Sena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jorginho Loureiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Red Nozes Football Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Furtainha SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Furtainha SC.
