Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Umberto Neves took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Adelino Hermes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mané Ramalho. Adelino Hermes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Charqueadense's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Sarmento came free, but Narciso de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Goianesia's goalkeeper Mané Ramalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio do Valle. Mané Ramalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino Hermes's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. A collision led to Goianesia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. José Maria Neiva hit a great ball. Charqueadense's Alan Bastos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mauro Messias in the 26 minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Adelino Hermes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 28 minutes into the match, Charqueadense's Caio do Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mané Ramalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Maria Neiva during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Goianesia's José Maria Neiva got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Caio do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Charqueadense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio do Valle couldn't finish the play. In the 48th match minute, Goianesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Caio do Valle made the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Reginaldo Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alan Godoi's late challenge caught a Charqueadense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Godoi helped the player get up and apologised. Charqueadense's Gernando Medeiros was substituted for Caio do Valle. Dráusio Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Ramalho having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Goianesia's zone, Gernando Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Ramalho came out of the goal and Gernando Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alan Bastos hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Umberto Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goianesia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second Narciso de Alcântara throw himself and got hold of the ball when Umberto Neves in the 84thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Goianesia's goalkeeper Mané Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gernando Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Mané Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charqueadense. Claudinho Goiano hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Adelino Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gernando Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Charqueadense players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
